Shirlee + John + Oliver + Maddie — State Park Adventure Session at Fort Snelling State Park
Last year when I relaunched as Hello Buffalo I also announced a goal of mine to photograph a family portrait session in ever State Park in Minnesota. In the last year I’ve photographed families at a handful of State Parks across the state and each one has been so fun in its own way; I love being able to celebrate the wilderness of my home state and it’s also fun getting to hear everyone’s stories of their own memories from these incredible parks.
I thought for Earth Day I would share this magical State Park Session at one of my very favorite and, I think, one of the most underrated places in the metro: Fort Snelling State Park. This place has served as a little sanctuary for me whenever I needed a quick nature fix and it was so fun to spend a whole afternoon enjoying it with this rad family.
When I started the State Park Sessions this is 1000% what I envisioned; exploring aimlessly, looking closely at the things we encounter, marveling at the wildlife around and then jumping in the water that Minnesota is so lucky to have an abundance of.
If you want to book your own adventure, jump over to the booking page or send me an email! I’m always on board with adventuring in any state park, but for the first session in each state park I’m also including all of the digital files at no cost and there are so many incredible places left on the list (hello, entire North Shore!).
Shirle + John + Oliver + Maddie: thanks for this perfect evening. I hope you smile ear to ear reliving it:
